Ingredients |
1 cup flour |
1/2 t seasoning
salt (Lawry's) |
1/2 t paprika |
1/2 t garlic
powder |
8 oz light beer |
1/4 cup water |
1 1/2 pounds
walleye |
cornstarch, for
dusting |

Directions |
1. |
Combine flour,
seasoning salt,
garlic powder,
and paprika in a
large bowl. |

Add beer and 1/4
cup water. Whisk
to make a smooth
batter. |

Preheat cast
iron pan to hot |

Pour 2" depth of
oil in fry pan.
Heat until
temperature
registers 350
degrees on a
deep fry
thermometer. |

Working in
batches, dust
fish with
cornstarch, dip
in batter, shake
off excess, and
fry, turning
constantly. |

Cook until deep
golden brown -
about 5 minutes. |
7. |
Transfer fried
fish to a rack
to drain. |
