Outlet (5)
The DNR outlet dam fixes the lake level for the fall and winter, while controlling the spring flow downstream into Lake Ida. An avid canoeist could portage this dam and two others on an adventure to and through the Alexandria chain of lakes, exiting from Lake Carlos into the Long Prairie River - which eventually flows into the Mississippi.
